902 KAR 10:035. Inactive status registration

Section 1. Definitions. (1) "Active status" means the status of a person engaged in program areas of environmental health activity that is the responsibility of the cabinet.
(2) "Inactive status" means the status of a person previously registered by the cabinet as a registered sanitarian or environmental health specialist and not engaged in environmental health activity that is the responsibility of the cabinet.
Section 2. Procedure for Applying to be in Inactive Status. (1) A person wishing to be placed in an inactive status must make a request by letter to the cabinet for inactive status.
(2) The cabinet may after review of the request, grant inactive status.
(3) Any person with inactive status shall pay the annual registration fee.
(4) A person placed in an inactive status may request by letter to the cabinet for active status at any time. (19 Ky.R. 847; Am. 1085; eff. 11-9-92.)

NECESSITY, FUNCTION, AND CONFORMITY: KRS 223.030(3) provides for an inactive status for those persons previously registered by the cabinet but not engaged in environmental health practice in the Commonwealth. The function of this administrative regulation is to provide procedures for inactive status.
