  •       Section 1. Definitions. (1) "Genetic information" means information derived from a genetic test.

          (2) "Genetic services" mean medical services employed to gather genetic information.

          (3) "Genetic test" means a laboratory test of human DNA or RNA used to identify the presence or absence of inherited alterations in the DNA or RNA which cause predisposition to disease or illness. (25 Ky.R. 1775; Am. 2156; eff. 3-19-99; TAm eff. 8-9-2007.)

      NECESSITY, FUNCTION, AND CONFORMITY: KRS 304.2-110 authorizes the Executive Director of Insurance to promulgate administrative regulations required to implement KRS Chapter 304. This administrative regulation establishes definitions for genetic information, genetic services, and genetic test.
