780 KAR 1:010. Kentucky state plan for career and technical education

      Section 1. Pursuant to the authority vested in the Office of Career and Technical Education, the Kentucky State Plan for Career and Technical Education is hereby prepared and approved in accordance with 20 U.S.C. 2301 through 2415, the Carl D. Perkins Vocational and Technical Act of 1998, and submitted to the U.S. Secretary of Education for approval. This document shall be referred to as the Kentucky State Plan for Career and Technical Education.

 

      Section 2. Incorporation by Reference. (1) The Kentucky State Plan for Career and Technical Education, December 2008, is incorporated by reference.

      STATUTORY AUTHORITY: KRS 151B.025(7), 20 U.S.C. 2342(a)(1)

      NECESSITY, FUNCTION, AND CONFORMITY: KRS 151B.025(7) designates the Office of Career and Technical Education as the sole state agency for developing and approving state plans required by federal law as prerequisites to receiving federal funds for vocational-technical or technology education. KRS 151B.150 authorizes the office to promulgate administrative regulations to implement federal vocational education programs. 20 U.S.C. 2342(a)(1) requires the state agency to prepare a state plan for career and technical education as a prerequisite to receiving federal funds under 20 U.S.C. Chapter 44. This administrative regulation establishes and incorporates by reference the Kentucky State Plan for Career and Technical Education.
