603 KAR 7:050. Local Rail Service Assistance Program

      Section 1. In order to facilitate the administration of the Local Rail Service Assistance Program as authorized by Title VIII of the 4R Act, the following is adopted by reference: 49 CFR Part 266.

      STATUTORY AUTHORITY: KRS 174.080

      NECESSITY, FUNCTION, AND CONFORMITY: Title VIII of the Railroad Revitalization and Regulatory Reform Act of 1976 (4R Act) and as amended by Title I of the Local Rail Service Assistance Act of 1978, and 49 USC 1654 authorizes the states to implement a local rail service assistance program. The function of this administrative regulation is to implement the procedures required to administer the Local Rail Service Assistance Program in accordance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
